This just from a walk around my block, picking up unwanted phone books.
If you live in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area and you’ve recently received one or four new phone books you don’t want and will never use, give them to me. I’m running a collection of sorts.
On a walk around my block, I picked up all of the unwanted phone book spam. This is what I got. I figured the phone book spammers will not act responsibly regarding their dumping of unwanted, wasteful phone books until they are shamed into realizing just how much of a burden they are puting on the rest of us. And why are they doing this? To game the system and inflate their circulation numbers so they can charge small businesses more money for the ads in the books. That’s not fair to all of us paying for disposal or recycling of these unwanted phone books and it’s not fair to the small businesses who pay for the inflated ads.
If you want me to pick up your unwanted phone book spam, just give me a call at 651 356-8652. If you want to find out about more WUPASS events and frivolity, join our group on face book: http://tinyurl.com/wupass-fb
Here’s a video explaining how to rip a phone book in half:
imagine your face here
Submit a pic of your meanest face while ripping a phone book in half and I’ll use it for my next facebook ad. You would look so much better than a silly question mark. Just add a link to the pic in the comments below. While you may not become David Hasselhoff famous, you could become internet famous.
I am a big fan of Fillup Munkee. You can imagine my excitement when I received his entry for the Chuck-It Challenge. Since he is a small puppet without fingers and phone books are rather large and heavy I think he did a remarkable job chuckin them to the curb.
The prize amount has just been upped to $50 thanks to the donation of a fellow phone book hater. Now go out and make a video and post a link to it here in the comments. The deadline is Friday, October 24th. The winner will be announced on Monday, October 27th.
